INTERNSHIP APPLICATION TASK

For Design internship applicants, please download the following mini project PDF, follow the instructions and submit your work within 5 working days to hello@expediodesign.com with the subject title “Design Internship Application”.

Pro Tip: Do have a look at the sample design work presentation PDF as reference.

Answer the following questions:

1.      What do you expect from an internship experience at Expedio Design?

2.      Describe your understanding of what a multidisciplinary design consultancy does?

3.      How would you respond to the following scenarios?

a. A client has given you a week to come up with design concepts for their new idea. Normally, being the brilliant design talent that you are, you’d complete this task in half that time. However, you’ve just hit a hard “creative block” wall. Describe what would you do?

b. Someone in your team has been behaving in a way that you’re very uncomfortable with. Said person also happens to be an extremely talented and capable individual (which is great for getting work done) but you feel that their behaviour/attitude might be bad for the culture. What would you do?

c. You and the team have come up with a unique design concept and sincerely believe this to be an awesome game-changing idea. However, the client is known to be super-conservative and extremely resistant to new ideas. What would you do?

d. You have been working around the clock trying to complete a task for an extremely urgent deadline (that happens to be tomorrow morning). Your boss asks you to put that aside for a while to help him with something that is also very urgent. How would you respond?
