Product Development for
Prevention of Infectious Diseases
COVID 19 has impacted lives globally and will push us to adopt new ways of living. This opens up the possibilities of new product developments that was once foreign, but now, a new norm and maybe a necessity for all of us. In Expedio Design, being in this industry for 10 years, we’ve developed products for various industries and people. It is by second nature that we too, would want to contribute and take part in providing solutions to keep people safe and still be comfortable to live their livelihood despite of looming virus threats .
Currently we have designed and distributed products to our medical front liners, and are still developing more solutions for the demand of a safer environment, be it for homes, corporate or public spaces. Here are the compilation of our works for COVID-19 initiatives.
We Want To Help You!

COVID-19 initiatives
PPE Face Shield
In light of the face shield shortage in Malaysia during the COVID 19 crisis, we set up 3 make shift workshops (Kepong & Serdang) within our team’s homes to produce 1000 face shields to be distributed to hospitals within the district. We delivered these to Hospital Selayang, Hospital Serdang, Hospital Sg. Buloh, Hospital Putrajaya and Hospital UKM.
Hand Sanitizer Wristband
A conceptual design for easy access to hand sanitizer in public spaces, right at your wrist.
Nested Intubation Box
Modified the initial design by Dr. Hsien Yung Lai (Taiwan) with storage, logistics and transportation in mind. These modifications converted bulky intubation boxes into compact nested units, fit for long term usage and storage. A total of 70 of these boxes were delivered to University Malaya Hospital.
UV Disinfectant Table Lamp
A conceptual design of a table top UV lamp, with the aim of convenient disinfectant for everyday items.
GO MCO!
Play Cards
Created to provide some home entertainment during this period of social distancing, with its contents inspired by COVID-19’s media highlights within the local community. From supermarkets running out of toilet papers, to viral postings of Dalgona Coffee in social media, and even some of MCO’s offences you’d find in the news.
